Ming-Ming Yin

At the end of April 2022, the artist made a performance space installation that deals with floating, in-between spaces and perceived identity issues in uncertain times.
There is also a photo and video record of the creation, failure, completion, of the new space.

Yin Ming-Ming's works deal with apparently stable structures which, on closer inspection, turn out to be temporary, changeable installations and whose stability and balance with the means used constructively are questionable.

Ming-Ming Yint is fascinated by Velcro, by Velcro fasteners, by limits of the 'wearable' or 'unwearable'...To the 'unwearable'/hardly 'wearable' also belong the noises,

the typical Velcro noises.

These characteristics symbolise their affiliation and turmoil with their Taiwanese homeland, their life in Düsseldorf, the fear of occupation.

The experiment of a performative installation for the RAUM _ für _ RAUM, the examination of the material result in the RAUM _ installation with the intention of developing a video exclusively for the nomansland.academy project.
